A. ABOUT THE ARTWORK This Ghau box pendant features an original White Tara Buddha Eyes artwork created by the artist. White Tara is traditionally associated with longevity, healing, serenity, and motherly protection within Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Rather than presenting the complete traditional figure, the Buddha Eyes series focuses on the gaze, color, and selected symbolic elements of Buddhist imagery. The original artwork was hand-painted by the artist and created as part of the Golden Ink Arts Buddha Eyes series.
B. ORIGINAL ARTWORK & HAND-FINISHED GOLD The original painting is reproduced as a high-definition fine-art micro-spray print. After printing, selected lines and details are finished by hand with gold by the artist. This means each finished piece combines the consistency of a high-resolution reproduction with the small variations created by the artist’s hand. The back of each artwork is also personally handwritten with: Golden Ink Arts White Tara Niohe This personal finishing detail makes each piece feel more like a small individual artwork than a mass-produced pendant.
C. ABOUT THE GHAU BOX The Ghau, or Gau, is a traditional portable container form associated with Tibetan Buddhist culture and historically used to carry sacred images and devotional objects. For this contemporary artwork, a Tibetan-style metal Ghau box provides the physical housing for the Buddha Eyes artwork. The artwork is fitted and assembled by the artist inside the metal case. The result is a small art object that brings traditional Tibetan-inspired visual language into an everyday form.
D. WEAR OR DISPLAY The Ghau box can be worn around the neck as a pendant or used as a small decorative object. It can also be hung inside a car, allowing the artwork to travel with you as part of your personal space. Its compact size makes it suitable for:
-
wearing as a pendant
-
hanging inside a car
-
keeping in a personal space
-
displaying as a small cultural art object
-
giving as a meaningful art gift
E. A CONTEMPORARY ART OBJECT This piece is created for people who appreciate Thangka-inspired art, Tibetan Buddhist visual culture, Chinese and Asian art, meditation-oriented artwork, or handmade contemporary art objects. It is not intended to reproduce a traditional Thangka in miniature. Instead, it combines an original hand-painted artwork, fine-art micro-spray printing, hand-applied gold, handwritten artist details, and a Tibetan-style metal Ghau box. The accompanying digital Artwork Companion provides additional cultural background, symbolism, and a quiet way of observing the artwork.
