What is Golden Ink Arts?

Golden Ink Arts is an independent art studio created by artist Niohe.

The studio explores contemporary art inspired by Chinese calligraphy, traditional Asian painting, Tibetan Buddhist visual culture, Thangka traditions, and contemplative imagery.

Each artwork is created to bring traditional visual languages into a quieter contemporary context.

Are your artworks handmade?

It depends on the product.

Our original Buddha Eyes artworks are hand-painted by the artist and may be reproduced as fine-art prints. Selected prints are then individually finished by hand with gold details.

Some physical objects use professionally manufactured components such as acrylic panels, Ghau-style cases, cords, frames, or other display materials. These components are not claimed to be handmade by the artist.

They are selected, prepared, finished, and assembled by the artist as part of the final artwork.

Some products are AI-assisted digital reinterpretations inspired by traditional Buddhist or Thangka visual language. These are clearly identified as AI-assisted and are not presented as traditional hand-painted Thangka.

Are your works traditional Thangka paintings?

Not every work is a traditional Thangka.

Some artworks are Thangka-inspired contemporary artworks that use selected visual elements, techniques, colors, or symbolic language from traditional Buddhist art.

When a product is an original hand-painted work, its production method is described clearly on the product page.

We do not describe AI-assisted or contemporary reinterpretations as traditional Thangka paintings.

Are the artworks made to order?

Yes, many physical artworks are made to order.

After you place an order, we may need to print the artwork, apply hand-finished details, prepare the physical components, assemble the piece, inspect it, and package it for shipment.

Please allow approximately:

3–5 business days for preparation

followed by approximately:

6–12 days for international delivery after dispatch.

These are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.

If you need an artwork for a specific date, please contact us before ordering.

Will my artwork look exactly like the photographs?

Small variations are normal and are part of the nature of these artworks.

Hand-applied gold, pigment, brushwork, fabric, acrylic, printing surfaces, and handmade finishing may produce subtle differences between individual pieces.

For this reason, the artwork you receive may not be pixel-for-pixel identical to the photographs shown on the website.

These variations do not mean that the product is defective.

They are part of the character of a hand-finished artwork.

Is the acrylic frame color always the same?

Not necessarily.

For selected acrylic products, the translucent acrylic frame color is intentionally varied and may be matched differently from one piece to another.

Please do not purchase these products expecting a specific frame color unless the product page explicitly states one.

What is included with my purchase?

What is the Artwork Companion PDF?

The Artwork Companion is a complimentary digital guide created for the artwork.

It may include information about the traditional cultural background, symbolic elements, the artwork process, and a simple viewing or reflection practice.

The PDF is intended as an art and cultural companion.

It is not medical advice, financial advice, or a promise of spiritual, healing, protective, or financial effects.

Are the symbolic meanings guaranteed to have an effect?

No.

References to Buddhist symbolism, the Five Elements, color symbolism, meditation, protection, longevity, abundance, healing, or other traditional associations are presented as cultural, artistic, or contemplative references.

They are not guarantees of supernatural, medical, psychological, financial, or other real-world outcomes.

Do you accept custom orders?

Custom work may be possible depending on the project.

Please contact us before ordering so we can discuss the artwork, size, materials, production time, and price.

A custom project is not considered confirmed until we have agreed on the details in writing.
