A Tang Dynasty Poem of Mindfulness and Tranquility

This framed artwork features two celebrated lines from Mount Zhongnan Retreat (Zhongnan Bieye) by the famous Tang Dynasty poet and painter Wang Wei:

行到水穷处，坐看云起时。

Walking to where the water ends, sitting to watch the clouds arise.

The verses capture a state of quiet acceptance and spontaneous wisdom — reminding us that when one path reaches its end, new possibilities naturally unfold. It encourages a peaceful heart, mindfulness, and the beauty of slowing down in a busy world.

For this artwork, artist Niohe has written the original Chinese calligraphy by hand in expressive black ink, preserving the character, rhythm, and subtle stroke flow of the brush. The handwritten original has been reproduced in high resolution as a fine art print for everyday contemplative display.

Traditional Calligraphy, Ready for Modern Living
